ROMA Wool Burel 1956 Laranja

Versatile and comfortable wool slippers for chilly feet, designed to be worn barefoot or with socks both indoors and outdoors. The style was created in collaboration with Portugal’s historic Burel Factory in the Serra da Estrela mountains, where traditional looms and generations of expertise are used to make timeless pieces. These warm slippers are suited to the summer cabin, office and home.

The comfortable fit quickly moulds to the feet and is complemented by excellent quality and a refined finish.

The pattern has been a classic since 1956.

Burel Factory works to preserve Portugal’s traditional textile heritage and carry its history forward. The factory supports the Serra da Estrela region, its people and culture, promoting Portuguese craftsmanship with respect for nature and the mountain landscape from which the material and local expertise originate.

Materials

Upper: Woven wool from Burel Factory in Portugal. Locally sourced materials support regional craftspeople.

Footbed: Contoured antimicrobial Carbon Step™ footbed for excellent comfort and support.

Outsole: Flexible natural rubber with excellent traction for a reliable grip.

Carbon Step™: A removable insole that moulds to the foot, supports natural movement and activates the muscles for a barefoot-like walking experience. Over time, it gently compresses to match the individual shape of the foot and guides it into a natural, neutral position.

11/14/7 construction: Precisely engineered with 11 mm of heel cushioning, 14 mm of arch support and 7 mm of forefoot padding. The material naturally compresses to match the individual shape of the foot.

Advanced materials: Open-cell polyurethane retains its bounce while helping to prevent bacterial growth and odour. A cork shank provides thermal insulation, structural support and lasting durability.
