Description

First woven in the 1920s, this USA-made wool blanket has remained one of Pendleton’s most popular designs ever since. Chief Joseph led the Nez Perce tribe out of northeastern Oregon in the late 1800s. Widely admired for protecting his people and speaking the truth, he is honoured with this design, which symbolises bravery. Bold arrowheads represent the chief’s courage, strength and integrity. Reverses for two different looks.

A portion of sales from all Pendleton merchandise featuring the Chief Joseph pattern goes towards annual grants for nonprofits supporting Native American language preservation, as well as support for Native Americans pursuing careers in healthcare.
