The Red Wing Engineer boot was developed for America’s railroad engineers in the early 20th century. The Red Wing Engineer 2966 is an all-leather Engineer boot used to protect the engineer’s feet from from the hazards in locomotive cabins. The Red Wing 2966 Engineer boot has split at the top of the shaft that allowed the engineer to bend during work.
The Red Wing 2966 Engineer is made from Red Wing’s Smooth Finished Black Klondike leather, a traditional heavyweight Red Wing leather. The Engineer boot has an indestructible Neoprene Cord Sole.
