About us
Motorious is a store that mainly sells classic men's clothing.
You can get jackets, T-shirts, pants/jeans, shoes and shirts from brands such as Red Wing, Nudie, SNS Herning, Baracuta, Birkenstock, Eat Dust, EDWIN, Filson, Gloverall, Hansen, Hemen Biarritz, Hestra, Karhu, Klitmøller, Manifattura Ceccarelli, Ondura Durable Goods, Pike Brothers, Stetson and others. In addition, we sell motorcycle equipment in the form of discreet and relaxed but safe vehicles, as well as helmets with a retro feel.
Motorious started as a backyard project in the now demolished Slagtergårde, focusing on motorcycles and motorcycle clothing. It also held a number of events that quickly attracted a crowd of people who enjoyed the relaxed and uninhibited atmosphere - tucked away in the cobblestoned backyard of Storm P.'s childhood home at Enghavevej 10.
Over time, the project became a real store, with paying customers and a Koda agreement - but the challenges were many, most of all the threat of termination of the lease due to the municipality's sale of the land to a private contractor who thought that apartments would be better than the old Slagtergårde from 1867. Despite great public support, Motorious vacated Enghavevej 10 in 2018.
After a tough fight and many considerations, we managed to get a lease in Kødbyen, and with new premises came new opportunities. From the early days with a focus on motorcycle equipment and clothing for motorcyclists, the focus now increased to be clothing for men in general. It was natural to continue working with quality and good products, and with the new premises on the street side of Kødbyen. With free parking and a solid customer base, Motorious could now fully realize the dream of running a men's clothing business.
The atmosphere is still the same as on Enghavevej, and you are still offered a cup of coffee when you come into the store. There is probably also an old motorcycle in the parking lot, and hopefully it will continue to be so - and with the combination of honest service and sincere interest, we feel that the journey that the store has been on has landed in a really good place. A place where it is still the owners who look after the store on a daily basis, and continue to offer competent advice and meet people with an interest in quality and style.
