The iconic ROMA mule is reimagined through a mid-century couture lens, blending elegance with modern ease. Crafted from luxurious handwoven, vegetable-tanned goat leather, these slip-ons offer breathable comfort and refined style for any occasion. Handmade in Portugal using time-honoured techniques passed down through generations, they are a true expression of craftsmanship. The soft, glove-like goat leather hugs the feet, while the slip-on design makes them an effortless choice.

Upper: Portuguese vegetable-tanned leather with unique natural variations. Locally sourced materials support regional craftspeople.

Footbed: Carbon Step™ antimicrobial contoured footbed for superior comfort and support.

Outsole: Flexible natural rubber with excellent traction for reliable grip.

Responsibly made with LWG-certified leather from food industry by-products.

Carbon Step™: A detachable insole that moulds to the foot, supports natural movement and activates the muscles for a more barefoot-like walking experience. Over time, it gently compresses to match the foot’s unique shape, guiding it into a natural, neutral position.

11/14/7 Formula: Precisely engineered with 11 mm heel cushioning, 14 mm arch support and 7 mm forefoot padding that naturally compresses to the foot’s unique shape.

Advanced Materials: Open-cell polyurethane maintains bounce while helping to prevent bacterial growth and odour. A cork shank provides thermal insulation and structural support for lasting durability.

Care: A water-repellent spray is recommended, preferably an eco-friendly option. Treat the leather with the brand’s 100% Organic Protective Cream or a quality leather conditioner when needed.

Natural Ageing: Leather naturally develops character over time. Beeswax and sunlight will darken the leather if desired.

Footbed Maintenance: The antibacterial Carbon Step™ requires no washing. The cover can be gently hand-washed with soap and water. Replacement insoles are available.

Sizing: VIBAe shoes should feel snug at first, and there is no need to leave extra space at the toe. The easiest way to put on VIBAe shoes is to place the shoe against the floor, push the foot all the way to the front, and only then lift the heel into place.

Once the VIBAe shoes have been worn, they will stretch by about half a size, and the more they are used, the better they become.
